Pursuing an Efficient Campus
UC Davis has the largest campus in the University of California system. It has over 1,000 buildings, which accounts for over 60% of the campus’ total energy use. Our mission is to find ways to save energy at the building level so that we can meet carbon neutrality goals and practice sustainable stewardship on this beautiful campus.
The Energy Conservation Office (ECO) is composed of several teams: Energy & Controls, Energy Feedback, Green Buildings, and Utilities Data & Engineering. Together with Facilities Management, we strive to create an energy efficient campus through equipment upgrades, education programs, and sustainable practices.
