Energy Project Manager
Energy & Engineering
John's past work experience in HVAC systems led him to work for UC Davis in 1999 as part of a building audit group. He joined the Energy Conservation Office in 2013 as the Energy Project Manager when the office was off to its start.
Memorable ECO moments
As the Energy Project Manager, John has seen many ECO projects through. Some of his memorable projects are system upgrades for the campus such as installing a booster chiller at the Mondavi BWFP that allows us to re-pump the TES during the winter, and removing an old cooling tower at Jungerman.
Favorite building on campus
The rifle range is a favorite of John's. It is currently part of several efficiency projects and is serving as a model for potential future implementation on campuses. The VRF and HVAC project is conducted by PG&E for future building codes. The Power Over Ethernet (POE) Lighting project is looking to power lighting system in offices using an ethernet connection to conserve energy.
